Bowled over by farewell
Chelsea SES's loss Is WA Police Force gain
Martin is leaving us to join the WA boys in blue
Martin is trading in his orange for blues when he heads West to join the West Australian Police Force in a few weeks time.
Allan shows his style at Martin's farewell at Mentone Bowl
On Monday evening (11/10/2010) Chelsea SES regular training was postponed to allow the members to get together to farewell Martin Ferreira before he leaves to move to Perth where he has been accepted as a member of the WA Police.
The competitive spirit was alive and well on all lanes
A great night was had by all and the teams were soon giving there all to take out top spot.
Our fearless leader in full swing
Unit Controller Ron Fitch discovered just how slippery the lanes at Mentone can be and soon fell victim to their slippery ways.
Martin and Dean watch on as the action on the lanes hots up
Martin has been a great part of the team at Chelsea both at the PR level and attending call outs as an operational member.
Chris looks for all the world a champion at this end of the lane
There was certainly a lot of style variations in the actions of the Chelsea crew. Some looked great at the top of the lane but with some disappointing results at the business end and others, though a little ungainly at the release end put the score on the board when it was needed, however, no names will be mentioned. What happens on the lanes, stays on the lanes.
Damian checks his score to see how his team are going
One of the major improver's on the night was Cathryn who struggled into double figures in the first game but flew home knocking on the door of 100 points in the second. Well done Cathryn!
The carefully selected blue & white balloons just added to the great atmosphere
Blue and white balloons surrounded the area used by the teams from Chelsea and a goody bag with everything a young up and coming WA Walloper could ever need including his very own Police vehicles, Flashy Bits and a brand new set of shiny handcuffs.
Stratergy played a big part in staying on top of the scores
It was also a great opportunity for members to get together and get to know each other a little better under more relaxed circumstances and continue to build the bond that members at Chelsea enjoy.
Chelsea SES resident party organisers
The night was arranged by Evette in a very short space of time and everything went without a hitch. Not a strike in sight.
Deb with her SES colour coordinated ball
Deb was happy to see that at Mentone Bowl they had thought of everything and had these special SES orange balls brought in for the occasion, well that's our story and we're sticking to it.
Thanks Martin, you just take the cake!
On behalf of everyone at Chelsea, we would like to wish Martin every success for the future and to say a huge thank you for everything he has done in his time at Chelsea SES, he will be sadly missed and we so say stay safe, good luck and if you ever come back to Melbourne there will always be a place for you at Chelsea SES. Cheers martin!
