Regular Monday night training was interrupted tonight (22/02/2010) when the wind picked up in strength long enough to send crews to Mordialloc, Parkdale and Edithvale for trees down.

In Parkdale just after 7.30pm, a tree branch came down and blocked the driveway of a house in Parkers Road. Soon after reports of a large branch down on a fence that was also completely blocking an access lane way opposite Edithvale Primary School in French Avenue.

A lucky escape but a great idea for school

As they say, every cloud has a silver lining and once it was clear that there was no major damage to the property, Declan and Rory Hannaford were already planning there show and tell presentations for the next day at school.

As the picture shows; there maybe a couple of prospective members to join the Chelsea crew in a few years time.
