As Melbourne sweltered on Sunday afternoon (31/01/201) the volunteers at the Carrum Life Saving Club had no idea just how of the devastation the expected cool change was about to deliver.
The cool change brought down more than just the temperature in Carrum
The footpath between the beach and the carpark following the collapse
As the wind swung around from the North to a Southerly, a gust of wind rattled windows and then demolished the entire side wall of the building bringing down rubble onto a footpath leading from the beach to the carpark.

The wall collapsed onto a young girl on the footpath below as she was leaving the beach just after the cool change hit.
