Edithvale Murder

Just after 6am on Sunday morning (24/01/2010) Chelsea SES were called to assist Police at the scene of a Murder in Edithvale. Three vehicles and 13 volunteer members attended and were tasked with cordoning of the intersection of Montrose Avenue and Rae Avenue to isolate the crime scene and later undertook a search of gardens along Rae Avenue. Members were on scene from 6.30am until  almost 3.30pm then; returning to LHQ for a debrief and standing down just after 4.30pm.

Both local Police, and members of the Homicide Squad, thanked Chelsea SES; praising the volunteer members for the way in which they had assisted at the scene in what was a difficult and very sad situation for everyone concerned.
