Black & White or Orange??? Could they be looking for a new team? Watch Out Eddie!

The Crew from Chelsea SES joined hundreds of Aspendale Garden’s locals having a ball at the Aspendale Gardens Community Fun Day held at Aspendale Gardens Shopping Centre on Saturday (14/11/2009).

Chelsea SES along with Edithvale CFA and Police from Mordialloc spent the day in the carpark displaying equipment and explaining their respective roles within the community.

Many other community groups were represented inside the shopping centre where also the main stage was buzzing with entertainment including bands, dancers, magic, self defence demonstrations and even snake handlers and of course the face painter was kept busy all day long!

The weather was just perfect, the snags sizzled on the barbee and the shopping centre was jam packed. The day was a celebration arranged by the Aspendale Gardens Residents Association Committee and sponsored by Ritchie’s IGA, to promote the many community, social and sporting facilities that are available in the area and the services that are there to answer any calls for help when needed.

Members from the Federal, State and Local Governments were on hand to catch up for a chat and could it be that Collingwood Stars Travis Cloke & Ben Reid were talking about joining a new team at Chelsea SES; what do you think suits them more orange, or black & white? The Paddle Pop Lion was extremely popular, giving away icy polls and even joining Chelsea SES for a picture.
