We need your help! On Saturday the 18th of September, Chelsea SES will be asking shoppers at IGA Aspendale Gardens to sign up and make us your community bennefits bennifactor. For various reasons, IGA have decided to drop their donation from 1% to .5% as from the 1st of September which makes this sign up day even more important than ever. By simply taking the pre registered cards, .5% of every cent you spend at IGA, including the bottle shop, goes to help us continue the work we do for our community. Our new Rescue Vehicle will be on display as well as equipment and of course our members. So why not come down and say hi, check out the cool gear and do your bit to help Chelsea SES.

Police Commendation Awarded To Chelsea SES

Chelsea SES unit members were recently recognised by Victoria Police for their work at an Edithvale murder scene in January of this year. Just after 6am on Sunday morning (24/01/2010) Chelsea SES were called to assist Police at the scene of a Murder in Edithvale. Three vehicles and 13 volunteer members attended and were tasked with cordoning off the intersection of Montrose Avenue and Rae Avenue to isolate the crime scene and later undertook a search of gardens along Rae Avenue. Members were on scene from 6.30am until almost 3.30pm then; returning to LHQ for a debrief and standing down just after 4.30pm.
